Steve Snook

Memorial Celebrant · Funeral Officiant · Grief Support Guide

For nearly four decades, I have walked alongside families in Los Angeles through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I am a non-denominational pastor, an interfaith police chaplain, and an interfaith hospital chaplain — but mostly, I am someone who has known loss and believes no one should have to walk through it alone.

Why this work

Loss is not a stranger to me.

My little sister was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor when she was nine years old. As a teenager, I lost close family friends in a private plane crash. My father died of pancreatic cancer in his early sixties. My wife recently lost her mother, first to dementia and then to a sudden accident.

And in January 2025, my wife and I lost our home.

These experiences do not make me an expert in grief. They make me someone who understands that grief changes everything — and that having someone steady beside you matters more than anything that can be said.

I have been honored to walk with grieving families for almost four decades — after long illnesses, after sudden deaths that rock your world, after the kind of loss you never saw coming. Strangers who became friends. People who taught me that love outlasts everything.

People have been there for me in my hardest times. I want to be there for you.
